Real Madrid are closing in on the La Liga title and will be just a point away from regaining their crown should they overcome Cadiz on Saturday.

With Girona falling off in 2024 and Barcelona's resurgence arriving a few months too late, Madrid's title success has long been regarded as an inevitability. Their recent victory in all but confirmed their title triumph.

However, Carlo Ancelotti will have more than a mere eye on the second leg of Madrid's Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich when they welcome the relegation-threatened Cadiz to the Bernabeu this weekend.

A Vinicius Junior brace means Los Blancos will take a 2-2 draw into the return leg on home soil.

Madrid's priorities mean there should be plenty of rotation this weekend, with Cadiz fighting for their lives towards the bottom of La Liga. The visitors, who were beaten 3-0 in the reverse fixture, currently sit 18th in the table and are five points adrift of safety with just five games remaining. They need all the points they can muster.
